Campaign Haiku

Campaign Haiku

An eclectic collection of offbeat images and short videos from the long and whimsical campaign trail.
Dr. Seuss’ campaign for president, the pizza spinning – voting connection, the girls from Team Palin, and a businesswoman selling magnetic Obama cutout dolls are just a sampling of the subjects of 11 short, quirky subjects featured in this Washington Post interactive “video haiku” dedicated to the Presidential campaign. Each with accompanying text, the videos are connected by a sliding navigation bar. The subjects are light but underscored by serious issues such as interviews with advocates for ex-offenders’ voting rights, a swing-voter plumber named Joe, a former Hillary supporter for McCain, and devoted campaign volunteers. Nice blend of whimsy and substance – like the campaign itself.
