Fortress America
In-depth presentation of the cat-and-mouse game played between border-patrol agents and border crossers who defeat fence-building efforts. This presentation is jammed with information by Denver Post reporter Michael Riley, who aims to get the cost of government efforts on the border in front of the public. The accompanying pictures show viewers what is happening as fences are built and border-patrol agents step up their efforts. Each time those who desire to cross badly enough do find a way to defeat the fence or move their operations to less-secure parts of the border. The game of cat-and-mouse continues.
There are four main photography slideshows with audio. Each is approximately two minutes long. There is an additional video and illustrations by graphic journalist Severiano Galvan as he speaks of crossing the border decades ago.
