Max Seidlitz is a 13-year-old boy living with Prader-Willi Syndrome, an incurable, rare genetic disorder that is characterized by insatiable hunger, behavioral issues and lower than normal IQ.

Using black-and-white photographs, audio interviews and video, this moving story (from Maryland’s Howard County Times Website, ExploreHoward.com) is a window into the life of Max and his father, Lon, his primary caregiver. Max’s life revolves around eating and meals. Due to Max’s constant hunger, Lon must lock up the kitchen between meals and keep Max busy with other activities. This touching piece includes interviews with Max and Lon and captures the remarkably close bond between the two of them.
